Puppy Acclimation Program

What is it?

Our acclimation program aims to help puppies get comfortable with being in a kennel facility early on and provide them with socialization skills, as well as build confidence away from the owner. The kennel environment can be very stressful and overwhelming for a dog that has never been boarded before and can be especially hard for them to adjust as they get older.

Weather you plan on boarding your dog a lot or occasionally our goal is to help your dog feel more comfortable from a young age when boarding is needed.

This is a free service, there are no costs associated with the acclimation program. We ask that if you start the program please see it all the way through for the best possible outcome.

This program is not available for clients that want regular recurring daycare for their dogs. If you are interested in weekly daycare please see the daycare page for more information.

Requirements

How it works

The acclimation program is daycare once a week for three months. Starting with two half days. They will get a feel for the facility and a chance to meet everyone without being overloaded all at once. Going forward you can choose to do half or full days for the remaining time. They will participate in our normal boarding routine of going out for scheduled play time with the groups and will have nap time in the kennel in-between.

We use treats throughout the day for positive reinforcement when going in and out of the kennel.
